Cairo — Saqqara & The Giza Plateau
After breakfast, departure for a visit to the Necropolis of Saqqara: the famous Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the funerary texts, the mastabas. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Giza Plateau: the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Back to the hotel. Optional Sound and Light show at the Pyramids. Free dinner. Night at the hotel.
Cairo — Grand Egyptian Museum & Islamic Quarter
After breakfast, visit the GEM (Grand Egyptian Museum of Antiquities). Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali in the Citadel of Saladin, and discover the Souks of Khan El Khalili. Back to the hotel. Free dinner. Night at the hotel. (Option: evening sleeper train to Aswan instead.)
Cairo / Aswan — Philae & Nile Cruise
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for domestic flight to Aswan. Arrival in Aswan, welcome and boat ride to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Transfer and installation on cruise ship. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, felucca ride around Elephantine Island and visit the Botanical Gardens. Optional Sound and Light show at Philae. Dinner and overnight on board.
Aswan / Kom Ombo
Breakfast. Free morning. Lunch on board. Navigation to Kom Ombo. Visit the illuminated Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the Gods Haroris and Sobek. Navigation to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Edfu, Esna & Luxor
Breakfast on board. Visit the Temple dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus in Edfu. Navigation to Esna for the passage of the lock. Continue to Luxor. Lunch on board. Afternoon visit to Karnak Temple, then the Temple of Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.
Luxor to Hurghada — West Bank & Red Sea
After breakfast, disembark in Luxor. Visit the temples of the necropolis of Thebes: the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Deir El Bahari, stopping at the Colossi of Memnon. Departure by private van to Hurghada (around 4 hours). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Night at the hotel.
Hurghada — Red Sea
Breakfast. Free day by the Red Sea. Lunch, dinner at the hotel. Night at the hotel. Optional: Boat trip to Giftoun Island or Orange Bay — snorkelling and beach.
