Cairo — Arrival
Arrival in Cairo, welcome at Cairo Airport and transfer to hotel. Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Cairo — Saqqara & Giza Plateau
After breakfast, 8:30am departure with private multilingual guide (French, English, Spanish, Italian, German) to visit the Saqqara Necropolis: King Djoser's Step Pyramid, royal funerary texts, mastabas. Lunch included. Afternoon visit to the Giza Plateau: Pyramids, Valley Temple and Sphinx. Return to hotel around 5pm. Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Cairo / Fayoum Oasis — Valley of the Whales
After breakfast, 7am departure by private van to Fayoum Oasis (90km from Cairo). 4x4 jeep excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wadi Hitan (Valley of the Whales), home to 40-million-year-old whale skeletons. Bedouin barbecue lunch. Visit Magic Lake, jeep safari and sandboarding. Discover Wadi El Rayan protected area with its waterfalls and Modawara Mountain. Return to Cairo around 8pm. Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Cairo — Grand Egyptian Museum & Citadel
After breakfast, 8:30am departure to visit the GEM — Grand Egyptian Museum: Tutankhamun's treasure, Solar Boat, Egyptian monument halls. Lunch included. Afternoon visit to the Mohamed Ali Mosque inside the Citadel of Saladin. Return to hotel around 5pm. Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Cairo / Alexandria
Breakfast. 7:30am private car to Alexandria (arriving around 10am). Visit Fort Qaitbay and the Roman Theatre. Lunch included. Afternoon visit to the New Alexandria Library and famous Catacombs. Return to Cairo around 8pm. Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Cairo — Coptic Quarter & Islamic Cairo
After breakfast, visit the Coptic Quarter: Hanging Church and Church of Saints Sergius. Lunch included. Afternoon visit to Sultan Hassan Mosque, Khan El Khalili covered souks, stroll along El Moez Street and visit the Kalawoun Complex. Return to hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.
