After breakfast, departure for a visit to the Necropolis of Saqqara: the famous Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the Royal Pyramids, the funerary texts, the mastabas. Lunch during visits. In the afternoon, visit the Giza Plateau: the Pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. Back to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali in the enclosure of the Citadel of Saladin, and discover the covered souks of Khan El Khalili. Back to the hotel. After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for domestic flight to Luxor. Arrival in Luxor, welcome by your guide. Afternoon visit to the illuminated Temple of Luxor — a breathtaking first encounter with Upper Egypt. Board your private Dahabiya. Welcome dinner on deck as the Nile passes by. Overnight on the Dahabiya.
After breakfast on board, visit the temples of the necropolis of Thebes on the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings (visit 3 royal tombs), the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, carved into the cliffs, stopping at the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Afternoon at leisure on the Dahabiya as the river life drifts past. Dinner and overnight on the Dahabiya.
After breakfast, visit the impressive Karnak Temple complex — the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns, the Sacred Lake, and the towering obelisks of Hatshepsut. Return to the Dahabiya. Lunch on board. Begin sailing south. Pass through the historic Esna Lock by boat. Dinner and overnight on the Dahabiya.
Breakfast on board. Arrive at Edfu. Visit the Temple dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus — the best-preserved and most completely intact temple in all of Egypt. Its towering pylons and inner sanctuaries are extraordinary. Lunch on board. Afternoon sailing toward Kom Ombo, enjoying the changing scenery of the Nile banks. Dinner and overnight on the Dahabiya.
Breakfast on board. Visit the illuminated Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated equally to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroris — unique double temple with its fascinating crocodile museum. Continue sailing to Aswan. Lunch on board. Afternoon arrival in Aswan — free time to explore the famous Aswan Spice Market. Dinner and overnight on the Dahabiya.
After breakfast, boat ride to the Temple of Philae on its island sanctuary, dedicated to the goddess Isis — reached by motorboat across the reservoir. Visit the Aswan High Dam, one of the largest dams in the world. Visit the extraordinary Unfinished Obelisk still lying in its ancient granite quarry. Lunch during visits. In the afternoon, traditional motorboat trip to a Nubian village — experience the colourful culture and warm hospitality. Optional: Sound and Light show at Philae in the evening. Dinner and overnight on the Dahabiya.
Early morning departure by private van to Abu Simbel (approximately 3 hours). Visit the grandiose twin rock-cut temples of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari — carved directly into the mountain and relocated stone by stone in the 1960s by UNESCO. A profound and unforgettable experience. Return to Aswan around 2 PM. Lunch on board. Free afternoon. Farewell dinner on deck as the Nile reflects the last golden light. Overnight on the Dahabiya.
Breakfast on board. Free morning of complete leisure on the Dahabiya — swim, read, watch the river life, or explore Aswan independently.
